Produce Assistant Department Manager

About the role

Festival Foods is a Wisconsin-based grocer dedicated to community service and guest satisfaction. With over 40 full-service supermarkets, we strive to provide exceptional service and value to our guests.

Responsibilities

• Works closely with all Produce associates to ensure a positive shopping experience
• Trains new associates and conducts performance reviews
• Communicates and collaborates with Store Director, Produce Manager, and other Department Managers
• Assists guests with finding items, taking orders, and resolving issues
• Maintains appropriate inventory levels and ensures accurate pricing
• Communicates with HR regarding timekeeping issues and schedules
• Ensures all quality standards are met, including meeting quantity expectations by 10 am and 5 pm

Qualifications

• High school education or equivalent
• Great oral and written communication skills
• Thorough knowledge of the retail food business and perishable department operations
• Ability to make timely and effective decisions
• Knowledge of safety requirements and company policies
• WI Certified Food Manager License (Festival will pay for certification if not)

Pay

Hourly associates are paid weekly, with additional premiums on Sundays and select holidays.

Part-time store associates receive a $1 premium per hour on Sundays and select holidays.

Hourly full-time store associates receive time and a half on Sundays and select holidays.

Schedule

The Produce Assistant Department Manager is a full-time position with a flexible schedule including mornings, afternoons, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
