About the Role

Assembles metal products such as doors and windows, partially or completely. Cuts and punches wood and metal materials for later assembly. Cuts and processes various sizes and styles of soft plate glass. Works on the shop floor in a leadership role to ensure the daily schedule is met safely and with quality product by efficiently staffing required jobs.

Responsibilities

• Fulfill a primary role in safety, quality, productivity, and cost avoidance efforts in the department.
• Assemble parts according to product knowledge or established processes/procedures.
• Operate drill presses, sawing equipment, punch presses, laminating, riveting machines, and other equipment to assist in assembly.
• Perform virtually all assembly positions as needed.
• Assign personnel to specific jobs daily and ensure proper rotation.
• Notify department leadership of equipment needing repair or maintenance.
• Identify potential workflow issues and assist in resolution.
• Perform job requirements and operate equipment within safety guidelines; report any nonconformance.
• Serve as a source of information and support for personnel.
• Recommend improvements to current processes.
• Use basic computer skills for data entry as needed.
• Lead the department in the absence of the Operations Team Leader.

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is $41,620 USD - $52,624 USD. Actual salaries may vary based on factors including education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance or a role-based sales incentive plan.
