Procurement Sr Manager

This role sits within the Procurement function, focusing on sourcing and purchasing goods, services, or raw materials from vendors and suppliers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide formal supervision to employees, including monitoring training, development, performance evaluations, and coaching.
  • Oversee recruiting, hiring, work schedules, task assignments, and cross-training for the team.
  • Set and track staff and department deadlines; mentor and coach as needed.
  • Assist in developing company-wide policies, procedures, playbooks, and organizational materials.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders, operational teams, global shared services, and executive sponsors to develop and execute sourcing and procurement strategies at local, regional, and global levels.
  • Draft, review, negotiate, and maintain contracts for large-scale purchases of goods and services.
  • Oversee contract terminations, expirations, extensions, and renewals; communicate changes to peers and corporate management.
  • Manage supplier and contractor certification processes, including periodic visits to high-profile supplier locations to review performance.
  • Approve and manage costs related to service providers.
  • Mentor and educate teams on contemporary outsourcing practices and their value.
  • Manage issues and expectations across diverse skill sets, locations, and cultures.
  • Review requests for proposals (RFPs), select solutions, and approve agreements with national and regional service providers while ensuring adherence to company standards.
  • Act as a key point of contact for utilization management and coordination with external procurement solutions.
  • Lead by example, modeling behaviors aligned with CBRE’s RISE values and influencing others to adopt new perspectives.
  • Apply broad business knowledge to achieve team and departmental objectives.
  • Identify and solve complex technical and operational problems.
  • Improve and change existing methods, processes, and standards within the discipline.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, with 5–8 years of relevant experience. A combination of experience and education may substitute for a degree.
  • C.P.M., C.P.S.M., or N.A.C.M. certifications (or eligibility) required.
  • Experience in staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, performance measurement, and retention is preferred.
  • Ability to handle sensitive, complex information, convey performance expectations, and address problems effectively.
  • Leadership skills to motivate teams and impact quality, efficiency, and effectiveness.
  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
  • Strong organizational skills and an inquisitive mindset.
  • Advanced math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and financial-related figures.

Pay

The salary range for this position is $140,000.00 to $165,000.00 annually, depending on skills, qualifications, and experience. Successful candidates may also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on CBRE’s applicable benefit program.
