About the role

The Procurement Specialist position at ROLEWHC LLC (A Surerus Murphy Company) is a key role within the WHC organization. The primary responsibility is to ensure that projects have the appropriate equipment and materials to meet high standards.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares contract documents including issuing and managing the bidding process for both proposals and projects.
  • Reviews project drawings to provide basic technical data for bidders.
  • Leads and manages the bid evaluation process through the preparation of comparing bids, collaboration with internal teams regarding technical evaluations, and making recommendations for award.
  • Presents recommendations to project teams.
  • Negotiates supplier pricing, capability, quality, performance, and delivery to meet project requirements.
  • Always seeks opportunities to better leverage purchasing power.
  • Implements and maintains procurement procedures on the corporate ERP system.
  • Manages the negotiation and award process, resolving commercial terms and conditions.
  • Ensures suppliers meet contractual obligations for a project or multiple projects.
  • Issue purchase orders and expedite purchase orders as required.
  • Administers material receiving reports, obtains vendor documentation, and coordinates with vendors.
  • Communicates procurement status with internal project teams and external stakeholders.
  • Maintains supplier relationships, stays updated with industry advancements, and new product offerings.
  • Supports the Procurement Manager on projects and proposals or other initiatives as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Legal, Technical / Engineering, Construction, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 - 3 years of EPC or purchasing engineered equipment experience required.
  • Experience in procurement on Solar/Power EPC projects preferred.
  • Ability to multitask across different projects and proposals.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Experience editing contract documents and resolving commercial terms and conditions.
  • Willingness to learn technical aspects of solar facilities, substations, and battery storage equipment.
