Procurement Specialist II-IV

Primary Responsibilities

• Career Restart: Support the historic restart of Palisades, the first U.S. nuclear plant to return to service after decommissioning.
• Day-to-Day Operations: Coordinate and direct purchasing, expediting, material acquisition, service contract, and inventory replenishment activities.
• Supply Chain Projects: Plan and conduct plant purchasing activities in accordance with established procedures, requirements, and procurement standards.
• Solutions Development: Develop and implement solutions to purchasing, inventory management, and material availability challenges.
• Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and support to buyers, supply chain personnel, and internal customers.
• Continuous Improvement: Support continuous improvement initiatives and supply chain process enhancements.
• Collaboration: Interface with peers across Holtec and support cross-functional collaboration.
• Logistics Support: Provide logistics support as needed to support plant operations.
• Independent Work: Independently perform procurement assignments and responsibilities while exercising sound judgment and decision-making.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management preferred; Associate degree in a related field of industrial purchasing practices may be considered.
• Master Buyer Certification preferred.
• Knowledge of commercial and nuclear purchasing practices.
• Knowledge of maintenance, repair, and operating (MRO) suppliers and manufacturers.
• Understanding of inventory management strategies and techniques.
• Basic understanding of plant equipment, material resource planning, and quality assurance principles preferred.
• Strong oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with materials management software systems; Asset Suite experience preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including word processing, spreadsheets, and databases.
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
