Procurement Specialist (Hybrid)

Scotts Miracle-Gro offers a dynamic and fast-paced environment with constant growth opportunities. This role supports the team of Buyers and Procurement Managers at our corporate headquarters in Marysville, OH.

Responsibilities

• Solve invoice issues with Accounts Payable (A/P) and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely payments.
• Manage the contract management process for Packaging Procurement, seeking efficiencies to streamline and automate tasks.
• Analyze and report on Material Price Variance (MPV) analysis.
• Lead project management initiatives for inventory reduction, savings, productivity, and other assignments.
• Support strategy development in different packaging categories.
• Place purchase orders as needed.
• Manage the addition of new suppliers into our system, including collecting forms, credit checks, and other necessary documentation.
• Screen potential suppliers and manage lower-risk commodities such as Supplier Relationship Management (SRM), sourcing, quotes, and negotiations.
• Identify and pursue new savings and value-add opportunities.
• Adhere to procurement best practices, policies, and procedures.
• Work autonomously and demonstrate a bias towards action.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Associate's degree preferred or equivalent experience.
• 0-2 years of Supply Chain experience.
• Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
• Able to work collaboratively on cross-functional teams.
• Experience working on multi-function teams.
• Familiarity with SAP.

Qualifications

• Ability to work remotely with some in-office requirements.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.
• Knowledge of sourcing and procurement processes.

Benefits

The starting budgeted pay range for this role is between $59,700.00 - $70,200.00 per year. Scotts will consider various factors in determining the actual pay, including skills, qualifications, experience, and geographical location. For remote roles in certain states, state-mandated pay thresholds may be factored into base salary.
