Procurement Specialist — Custom Millwork Shop

Procurement Specialist for a custom millwork shop. This position requires a high level of attention to detail, precision, and problem-solving skills. You'll be an essential part of the company, acting as a bridge between the office staff — who will provide you with approved shop drawings with all materials listed (quantity and type) — and the shop floor, ensuring orders are placed on time so operations run smoothly.

Responsibilities

• Ordering materials and following schedules to ensure project deadlines are met
• Managing and maintaining an accurate inventory of all materials and hardware
• Receiving, inspecting, and properly storing all incoming materials, ensuring they match orders in terms of quality and quantity
• Delivering materials to carpenters as needed for ongoing projects
• Entering all material-related invoices into our accounting software and keeping records organized
• Being creative and resourceful in procuring materials, especially when certain items are hard to find
• Flagging opportunities where something in a project could be made in-house instead of bought out — and bringing it to the estimator for a real cost comparison

Requirements

• Highly detail-oriented and meticulous to ensure that what we order exactly matches what we receive

Pay

$65,000–$75,000, depending on experience
