Procurement Specialist
Pay: $35–$38/hour
Duration: 5 months
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM
About the role
Roles related to finding, acquiring, and buying goods, services, and supplies from vendors and suppliers. The focus lies on negotiating and managing favorable terms and contracts with suppliers and vendors to ensure the right price, quantity, quality, and timing of acquired goods, services, and supplies. Includes positions that are not specialized in one of the other defined Procurement job families or that are fully responsible for the entire functional area.
Impact: Affects the results of own and closely related teams through individual contributions.
Complexity: Performs a range of non-routine assignments to solve problems of moderate complexity, requiring working knowledge and experience in the job discipline.
Accountability/Independence: Accountable for the quality of own work; receives a moderate level of guidance and direction.
Organization: Typically reports to a Manager or Project Manager for a defined period; no direct reports. Reporting level may be the same or lower, provided job scope and responsibilities are clearly distinct.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree plus 3–5 years of relevant experience, or a Master’s degree
- Graduate background with some relevant professional experience
