Procurement Specialist

About the role

The Procurement Specialist will manage day-to-day purchasing and supplier coordination to ensure SparkCharge has the materials, equipment, and services needed to scale charging deployments and field operations. This role supports sourcing, vendor management, cost control, purchase orders, lead-time planning, and supply continuity across charging hardware, electrical and mechanical components, mobile assets, field-service consumables, and logistics services.

Qualifications

• Candidates must have:
• 3-5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, purchasing, or supply chain.
• Experience in hardware, manufacturing, automotive, energy, EV, industrial equipment, or similarly operational environments.
• Strong knowledge of RFQ processes, supplier negotiations, total-cost analysis, and purchase order management.
• Experience with ERP or MRP systems and strong Excel or Google Sheets skills.
• Ability to work with BOMs, part numbers, technical specifications, and revision-controlled documentation.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and cross-functional communication skills

Additional “Plus” Experiences Include

• Experience with EV charging, batteries, power electronics, or electrical systems.
• Experience supporting field operations, distributed deployments, or contract manufacturing.
• Familiarity with freight, warehousing, 3PL coordination, or supplier quality management.
• CPSM, CPIM, CPPB, or similar certification.

Pay Range

The pay range for this role is: 60,000 - 75,000 USD per year (Somerville)
