Job Responsibilities

  • Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including sourcing, negotiation, purchase order issuance, and contract administration
  • Lead and administer competitive sourcing events, including RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes
  • Execute formal tendering processes: Develop and issue bid documents
  • Receive and analyze supplier proposals
  • Conduct commercial evaluations
  • Prepare award recommendations
  • Issue and manage purchase orders and low-to-medium complexity contracts
  • Support and administer Master Service Agreements (MSAs) for goods and services
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders (Operations, Maintenance, Finance, etc.) to define requirements and sourcing strategies
  • Develop, maintain, and manage supplier relationships, including performance monitoring and issue resolution
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, contract terms, and industry regulations
  • Cook up and manage logistics, demonstrating understanding of Incoterms (e.g., FCA, DDP) and shipping arrangements
  • Support invoice resolution processes, including: Understanding and applying three-way matching (PO, receipt, invoice)
  • Troubleshoot and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor payment issues
  • Monitor market conditions and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • 5–7 years of procurement experience, preferably in mining, heavy industry, or natural resources.
  • Strong knowledge of sourcing, tendering, bid evaluation, contract management, logistics, Incoterms, and accounts payable processes.
  • Proven negotiation, commercial analysis, and supplier management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities while delivering cost, quality, and service objectives.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Experience with ERP/procurement systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics) and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated business acumen, integrity, accountability, and collaborative working style.
  • Experience with mine site operations, capital projects, MRO procurement, or professional procurement certification (CPSM, CIPS) is considered an asset.
