About the role
We are looking for a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support purchasing operations. This role focuses on ensuring procurement activities are handled accurately, efficiently, and in alignment with established policies and business requirements. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with vendors and internal teams while keeping documentation, order tracking, and administrative support well organized.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing requests and prepare purchase orders in compliance with organizational procurement standards.
- Examine procurement paperwork to confirm information is complete, accurate, and ready for processing.
- Work closely with suppliers and internal departments to gather pricing, quotes, and supporting documentation.
- Track open purchase orders, provide status updates, and assist with receipt-related follow-up as needed.
- Organize and maintain procurement files, records, and related documentation for easy retrieval and audit readiness.
- Follow up with vendors and stakeholders on pending orders, outstanding items, and unresolved requests.
- Provide administrative support for contract-related documentation and routing activities.
- Complete data entry, prepare basic reports, and assist with additional purchasing and business operations tasks as assigned.
Requirements
- Experience supporting corporate procurement activities in a detail-oriented business environment.
- Working knowledge of purchase order processing and standard buying procedures.
- Ability to review documents carefully for accuracy, completeness, and policy compliance.
- Strong coordination skills when working with vendors and cross-functional internal teams.
- Familiarity with core procurement functions, recordkeeping, and administrative reporting.
- Understanding of contract-related documentation and procurement support activities.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills with strong organizational attention to detail.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
