Position Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Procurement Specialist to join our team on a contract basis. In this role, you will manage the full procurement lifecycle, focusing on SaaS, cloud, and professional services vendors. You will negotiate contracts, foster vendor relationships, and streamline procurement processes to support our high-growth technology environment. This is an excellent opportunity for a strategic thinker with a knack for negotiation and process improvement to make a substantial impact in a dynamic, remote setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire procurement process for SaaS, cloud solutions, and professional services vendors, ensuring timely and efficient delivery.
  • Negotiate pricing, contract terms, and vendor agreements to maximize value and mitigate risks.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Legal, Security, People, and Operations teams to align procurement strategies with organizational goals.
  • Conduct detailed pricing analyses and vendor benchmarking to inform decision-making.
  • Manage vendor renewals proactively, identifying opportunities for cost savings and improved service.
  • Continuously improve procurement workflows, documentation, and automation utilizing AI tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Support onboarding of new suppliers and maintain strong vendor relationships.
  • Balance and manage over 40 procurement activities concurrently while prioritizing competing demands.
  • Leverage procurement software (preferably Coupa) and productivity tools like Excel, Google Sheets, Coda, and AI-powered applications such as Superhuman to optimize workflows.
  • Drive process automation and continuous improvement initiatives within procurement functions.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or vendor management.
  • Proven success negotiating SaaS, cloud, and professional services agreements.
  • Strong knowledge of procurement processes and vendor negotiation techniques.
  • Excellent cross-functional communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with procurement automation and process improvements.
  • Able to thrive independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Previous experience with Coupa or similar procurement/contract management systems.
  • Familiarity with Excel, Google Sheets, and AI productivity tools.

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • 5–7+ years of relevant work experience, particularly within SaaS or high-growth technology companies.
  • Demonstrated success in negotiating IT procurement contracts.
  • Experience using Coupa procurement platform and Coda.
  • Knowledge of AI-powered tools such as Superhuman.
  • Passion for continuous improvement and automation in procurement operations.
