About the role
As our Procurement Specialist, you will play an integral role in supporting our hotels with efficient, compliant, and cost-effective purchasing practices. You will partner with property leaders, Accounting, vendors, and Corporate teams to strengthen procurement processes, identify savings opportunities, and ensure purchasing activity aligns with company standards.
Responsibilities
- Support multiple hotels by improving purchasing efficiency, strengthening vendor partnerships, identifying cost-saving opportunities, and ensuring procurement practices are consistent, compliant, and aligned with company standards.
- Monitor purchasing activity and help ensure purchases follow approved procedures and company standards.
- Conduct periodic E-Procurement training for new managers and promote consistent system usage across hotels.
- Partner with Hotel General Managers, Financial Controllers, Engineering Directors, and Department Heads to identify competitive pricing and sourcing opportunities.
- Work closely with Hilton Supply Management (HSM) to maximize participation, purchasing opportunities, and available rebates.
- Support vendor setup, evaluation, and ongoing compliance requirements.
- Partner with Corporate Accounts Payable to resolve invoice discrepancies, payment issues, and vendor-related concerns.
- Monitor pricing trends and purchasing activity to support accurate forecasting and budgeting.
- Analyze vendor performance, pricing, and market trends to identify savings and process improvement opportunities.
- Communicate significant pricing changes and purchasing trends to Hotel General Managers and Financial Controllers.
- Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis to support procurement decisions and business objectives.
- Ensure procurement activities comply with Millennium Hotels & Resorts policies, ethical standards, internal controls, and applicable regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate procurement records and documentation.
- Promote consistent purchasing practices across hotels and support a culture of accountability and operational excellence.
- Build strong working relationships with property leadership, Accounting, Operations, Engineering, Department Heads, Corporate teams, and vendors.
- Communicate effectively and provide timely support to multiple hotels.
- Manage competing priorities and respond to urgent procurement needs in a fast-paced environment.
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems, and service levels across the organization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required.
- 3-5 years of procurement, purchasing, sourcing, or vendor management experience preferred.
- Hospitality, construction, engineering, or technical services experience preferred.
- BirchStreet or similar E-Procurement system experience preferred.
- Strong knowledge of purchasing, vendor vetting, pricing, sourcing, and receiving processes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and procurement systems.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Able to collaborate effectively with property leadership, Accounting, Corporate teams, and vendors.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and follow-through.
- Able to manage multiple priorities across multiple hotels.
- Able to work extended hours as needed to support urgent operational requirements.

Pay
$60,000 - $66,000.00
