Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities Include:Support the contracting and procurement organization and Head of the Contracting Activity for the USCG as part of a team reporting to the Senior Project Manager leading support to the office.Support contracting policy and procedural guidance development and updates, and coordinate with relevant teams for publication and training.Support contracting and procurement career management team and related training activities.Work with stakeholders to develop and deliver job aids, training artifacts, and quick reference guides to support contracting specialists and requirements owners.Report project activities, risks, issues, scope, and progress to executive management, and keeping project teams and decision makers moving toward consistent, business and/or mission focused goals and objectives.Manage assigned projects through all required governance processes, ensuring all required deliverables are completed for each process.Provide subject matter expertise and consultation related to contracting and procurement regulations, procedures, and career management to support the implementation of best practices across project workstreams. RequirementsBachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in a relevant field (Business Management, Public Administration, Finance/Economics, Political Science, etc.)15+ years of experience in Federal contracting and procurement (e.g. former GS-1102, etc.)Current or former FAC-C professional certificationExperience managing or implementing Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) and related Agency policesPrior experience working with federal government organizations and/or military branchesDemonstrated project management experience within a federal government organizationExperience reviewing deliverables to deliver high-quality results and work productsStrong communication and presentation skills, including senior executive leadership engagementExperience with Microsoft 365 Products and SharePointDemonstrated ability to work independently and remotely Preferred QualificationsExperience with or supporting career path management for federal contract specialistPrior experience working with the U.S. Coast GuardExperience with Agile development methodologiesExperience shaping business development opportunities and guiding potential clients towards corporate objectivesExisting Clearance or Public Trust JPI is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer. Expected compensation for this role is between $80,000-120,000, including a generous benefits package with comprehensive healthcare coverage. Please note that final compensation is dependent on a variety of factors and is reviewed regularly for both internal and external equity considerations.
