Procurement Specialist

Procure supplier products for stock and customer-specific orders, determine inventory levels and settings for responsible product lines, and resolve associated receiving and accounting issues.

Responsibilities

  • Procure supplier products for stock and customer-specific orders
  • Collaborate with Product Management and negotiate with suppliers to maximize profit
  • Review and classify items to determine stocking profiles
  • Assist with escalation and resolution of critical supplier issues
  • Resolve accounting issues associated with supplier orders
  • Identify and pursue continuous improvement through training and process improvement
  • Comply with the Company's Quality Management System
  • Comply with the Federal Acquisition Regulations (DFAR) as required
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline, along with a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience or
  • At least 5 years of relevant professional experience
  • Must be a U.S. Person defined as: U.S. Citizen, U.S. permanent resident, protected person under 8 U.S.C. 132b (a)(3), or a corporation/business/organization incorporated in the U.S. under U.S. law

  • Ability to analyze data and market trends
  • Proficient in Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems
  • Advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Oracle experience a plus

Physical Requirements

  • Sedentary work: exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible force frequently
  • Substantial movements of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers (e.g., paperwork, typing, using mouse/keyboard)
  • Close visual acuity required for activities such as preparing and analyzing data, transcribing, viewing a computer terminal, and extensive reading
  • Frequent standing, sitting, using computers, reading, writing, typing, using copy machines, filing paperwork, and using telephones
  • Reasonable accommodation may be provided to enable individuals to perform essential functions

Working Conditions

Position is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions (typical office or administrative work).
