About the role

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement Specialist to support sourcing and procurement activities for manufacturing, field operations, technology, and project management. This is an excellent opportunity for procurement professionals looking to work on high-impact business initiatives, including support for an upcoming SAP S/4HANA transition. High-performing candidates may be considered for full-time employment upon successful completion of the contract.

Responsibilities

• Support sourcing and procurement activities for manufacturing, field operations, technology, and project teams.
• Execute Category Management strategies in accordance with company procurement policies and procedures.
• Create and issue purchase orders based on business and production requirements.
• Manage local procurement activities for goods and services not covered under existing supplier agreements.
• Prepare and distribute Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and coordinate competitive bidding processes.
• Evaluate supplier quotations based on quality, pricing, delivery, and service.
• Monitor and assess supplier performance to ensure quality and timely delivery.
• Maintain accurate purchasing records and procurement documentation.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure timely procurement of materials and services.
• Support procurement initiatives that contribute to cost savings, operational efficiency, and business continuity.
• Assist with procurement activities related to the organization's SAP S/4HANA transition.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Engineering, Operations, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in a procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or production environment.
• Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and general business systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems.
• Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) process knowledge.
• Advanced procurement certification such as CPM or equivalent.
• Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial operations.
