Procurement Specialist
About the role
The Procurement Specialist supports the Deer Valley Procurement Operations team by managing invoice exceptions and providing surge support to meet operational procurement demands.
Core Responsibilities
- Supports the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process by executing procurement activities.
- Partners with internal stakeholders and suppliers to resolve purchasing and invoicing issues.
- Manages contracts, contract redlines, negotiations, and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Develops or manages supplier performance metrics and KPIs.
- Prioritizes competing requests in a high-volume procurement environment.
Requirements
- A four-year bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain, or other job-related discipline from an accredited college or university, or
- Six (6) years of significant, closely related materials/services/supply chain experience.
Qualifications
- Experience handling invoice exceptions and procurement issue resolution.
- Experience with PO execution, purchasing processes, and supplier interactions.
- Strong analytical, written, verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
Skills
- Strategic supply chain management experience.
- Experience developing or managing supplier performance metrics and KPIs.
- High-volume procurement environment experience.
