Responsibilities
- Manage the purchasing of assigned commodities, ingredients, or packaging in alignment with business objectives.
- Develop and apply an understanding of market dynamics, cost drivers, and logistics.
- Develop and apply an understanding of company facilities, requirements, capabilities, processes, and constraints.
- Build strong relationships with suppliers and multiple cross-functional teams.
- Release requests for proposal, negotiate contracts, and execute agreements aligned to category strategies.
- Provide research and analytical support for procurement initiatives and ad hoc projects.
- Support business process improvements and documentation efforts.
- Manage procurement master data and transactional processes within enterprise systems.
- Develop an understanding of material requirements planning processes and supporting data.
- Drive digital adoption by learning, applying, and continuously improving procurement tools and analytics to increase efficiency and decision quality.
- Collaborate with other business functions to identify and implement process improvement opportunities.
- Develop and maintain reports to support procurement performance and decision making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Two or more years of experience in purchasing, supply chain, commodity trade, or finance roles.
- Strong communication and presentation skills for audiences at all levels of the organization.
- Strategic thinking and critical problem-solving skills.
- Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
- Experience with enterprise resource planning systems preferred.
- Experience with data visualization and analytics tools preferred.
