Essential Job Functions
- Prepare student participation spreadsheets to allocate commodity parts.
- Communicate effectively with the Coordinator of Technology, Bookkeepers, and School Administrators.
- Receive, examine, and process requisitions, prepare bid specifications, and correspond with vendors.
- Evaluate the quality and suitability of products and confer with the Coordinator of Technology regarding purchasing needs and specifications.
- Confer with the State Department to ensure proper procurement process adherence.
- Maintain records of bid requests, respondents, and awarded contracts.
- Analyze purchasing trends to determine if agency or statewide contracts are beneficial.
- Aid in technology processing and ordering, and assist the CTO with the ERate Process.
- Monitor the cost and financial impact of purchases on the Technology Department Program.
Job Standards
- High School Diploma.
- Skills in writing bid specifications.
- Ability to communicate well.
- Organizational skills.
- Knowledge and experience of how the school technology department operates and allowances for the use of school funds.
