Procurement Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Supply Chain & Procurement Specialist to support purchasing operations in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Manage purchasing activities to ensure materials, supplies, and services are available when needed.
- Review material requirements and coordinate procurement plans to support operational goals.
- Maintain accurate purchasing records and track open orders.
- Proactively communicate with suppliers regarding delivery schedules.
- Analyze supplier performance, pricing, and service levels to support sourcing decisions.
- Coordinate outsourced processing and vendor-managed activities.
- Verify supplier invoices against purchase orders and negotiated pricing agreements.
- Partner with production, operations, and other internal teams to resolve supply chain challenges.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, order management, inventory control, customer service, or a related field.
- Strong relationship-building skills with vendors and suppliers.
- Experience managing multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and follow-through.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Experience working with ERP, purchasing, inventory, or manufacturing software preferred.
- Ability to analyze inventory, supplier, and pricing data to support business decisions.
