Procurement Specialist
About the role
We are seeking a dedicated Procurement Specialist to take full ownership of our procurement process and support our Accounts Payable (AP) team. This role is crucial in ensuring the effective management of procurement functions and the improvement of purchasing controls within our organization. This is a fully remote, contract position based in Darien, CT, offering a flexible work schedule across various time zones. You will have exposure to a growing, multi-entity and multi-currency environment with an opportunity for contract-to-hire conversion.
Responsibilities
- Submit and track purchase orders to ensure timely processing.
- Conduct data entry and cross-checking activities for accuracy.
- Match invoices against purchase orders to maintain financial integrity.
- Maintain procurement documentation in SharePoint for easy access and organization.
- Help improve controls around purchasing to streamline processes.
Requirements
- 3-5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing coordination, or accounting support.
- Strong Excel skills, including VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables.
- Detail-oriented approach to work.
- Experience in reconciling and validating transactions.
- Experience in a manual environment using Excel and SharePoint.
- Month-end bank reconciliations experience.
- Experience with multi-entity and intercompany purchase orders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree preferred.
- Familiarity with Sage and NetSuite systems a plus.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00/hr. Individual compensation offered within this range will depend on qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
