Amentum is seeking a Procurement Specialist to support the Space Force Range contract (SFRC). This role manages the acquisition of materials, supplies, and services essential for Space Force Range operations, ensuring compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and organizational policies.
Responsibilities
- Execute purchasing activities for materials, supplies, and services in compliance with FAR and organizational policies.
- Solicit, evaluate, and award purchase orders, including competitive bids for requirements.
- Validate incoming purchase requisitions and prepare purchase orders with accurate delivery timelines.
- Manage supplier relationships, negotiate pricing, and resolve discrepancies related to damage, returns, or cancellations.
- Issue and maintain Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPAs) and ensure procurement record retention.
- Coordinate badging and security requirements for vendors accessing Space Force bases.
- Expedite deliveries and monitor vendor performance to maintain quality standards.
- Process invoices and collaborate with Accounts Payable for timely payment approvals.
- Support budgeting activities, including fiscal year allocations and expenditure tracking using advanced Excel and ERP systems.
- Develop and maintain procurement tools to improve efficiency and reporting accuracy.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 3+ years of purchasing experience, including government contracts and FAR compliance.
- Expertise in supply chain management, logistics, and vendor negotiations.
- Experience with MS Office, MAXIMO, Cost Point, and PeopleSoft systems.
- Previous procurement support for Space Force or similar government contracts preferred.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security Clearance, which includes U.S. citizenship.
- Valid U.S. Driver's License.

Pay
$75,000 to $80,000 per year. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as job responsibilities, education, experience, skills, internal equity, market data, applicable collective bargaining agreements, and relevant laws.
