Job Description
The Department of Military and Veterans Affairs (DMVA), Division of Administrative Services (DAS) is recruiting for a Procurement Specialist 2 in our Procurement Section. This position is in the General Government (GGU) bargaining unit as a range 16. This position is open to Alaska Residents only. Please check our residency definition to determine if you qualify. This position requires full-time on-site work at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richmond to facilitate collaboration with various divisions supported by DAS' Procurement Section. Remote work may be permitted up to two days a week, subject to the hiring manager’s approval, and/or successful completion of probation.
What You Will Be Doing
- Assist in the support procurement activities for the department
- Collaborate closely with the Procurement Specialist 3
- Procure various goods and services
- Develop and assist in specifications and scope of work
- Establish evaluation criteria
- Oversee evaluation committees
- Manage both small and large procurements in compliance with relevant laws and regulations
- Assist the department property officer with the management of state and federal accountable property when necessary
