About This Role
The Veterinary Health Center (VHC) within the College of Veterinary Medicine is seeking a Procurement Officer I to join our dedicated team to help facilitate exemplary patient care and quality customer service. This position coordinates the processes to procure VHC products, supplies, and materials, including facilitation of the inventory management system and bar coding. They will be responsible for procurement and management of surgical and medical supplies for daily hospital use and maintain inventory control of all medical/surgical supplies. This position will assist in preparation of bid invitations, analysis and award of contracts.

Worksite Description
This position is On-site. All employees must reside in the United States when they begin working to comply with state law. K-State is unable to provide remote or hybrid work opportunities for residents of the state of Idaho.
What You'll Need to Succeed
- Minimum Qualifications: Requires two years of relevant experience. (Requirements may be met through a combination of education and experience.) Valid driver's license.
- Preferred Qualifications: Excellent relationship management skills; including strong negotiation and time management skills. Two years' experience in procuring commodities and services which include preparing order specifications, estimates, bids, contracts, and awarding contracts. Experience providing independent, complex work experience in administrative support. Two years' experience with inventory management and control. Knowledge of medical supplies and equipment. Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and Power BI. Knowledge of inventory control consents and software.
