Procurement Manager - Produce

Description

• Procurement of Red Delicious and Gala apples from Washington State and surrounding regions.
• Identify and collaborate with efficient and cost-effective pack houses.
• Oversee end-to-end supply chain from field procurement to export dispatch.
• Assist in the Overseas Sales made by our various stations globally, to the US and develop local sales operations across the U.S.
• Drive business development with large retail chains, including facilitating sales partnerships with major supermarkets such as COSTCO.
• Support expansion into the almonds and pistachios segment, leveraging existing networks and identifying new opportunities.

Profile

• Minimum 10 years of direct procurement experience in the cold chain, fresh fruit distribution sector (categories include apples, nuts, etc)
• Strong knowledge of procurement strategies and supplier management in the fresh fruit distribution industry.
• Prioritization of negotiation skills and achievement of cost savings.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in collaborating with global cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of market trends and legal compliance in procurement.
• Strong communication skills to build and maintain supplier relationships.

Job Offer
