About the role

The Procurement Manager - Commodities will oversee the sourcing and procurement of all commodity ingredients and support global initiatives. Key responsibilities include managing supply agreements, negotiating new and renewed agreements, assessing market details, and implementing the global sourcing and supply strategy.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor and renew supply agreements, leading negotiations and contract execution.
  • Assess and approve commodity market details, devise strategies to maximize buying efficiency, and minimize risks.
  • Ensure robust, reliable, and sustainable global supply chains for all commodity ingredients, focusing on North America with limited support to other regions.
  • Implement core procurement processes to meet financial requirements and expectations, protect the brand, and manage inflationary pressures.
  • Conduct external and internal assessments of the competitive landscape, suppliers, and market trends, and collaborate with internal teams to drive program growth.
  • Communicate project updates and changes to the supply chain, respond to supplier and costing requirements, and ensure suppliers align with quality assurance procedures.
  • Support regional and global supply and quality issues, participate in crisis resolution, and assist accounting in resolving price discrepancies.

Requirements

  • Prefer a Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Finance, Analytics, or a related field.
  • More than 5 years of experience in Procurement.
  • Between 1-3 years of experience in the Food & Beverage Industry.
  • Experience sourcing ingredients such as juice concentrates, citric acid, sugar, caffeine, preservatives.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.

Qualifications

  • Strong focus on managing inflationary pressures and cost savings through detailed planning and execution of productivity ideas and projects.
  • Ability to work with suppliers, cross-functional partners, and key stakeholders to ensure effective communication and timely responses to supplier and costing requirements.
  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance/Quality Control processes and procedures.
  • Experience in crisis management and resolution within the supply chain.

Monster Energy offers competitive total compensation. The estimated annual salary range for this position is $75,000 - $100,000 USD for United States applicants.
