About the role
The Procurement Manager will support the development and execution of a centralized procurement function and assist in deploying the Procure-to-Pay (P2P) lifecycle within Workday. This role is responsible for supporting standardized procurement processes including requisitions, approvals, vendor selection, contract workflows, and exception handling.
Responsibilities
- Support the design and execution of a centralized Procure-to-Pay (P2P) process within Workday
- Affiliate with procurement workflows, vendor management, and contract processes
- Support procurement policy documentation, internal controls framework, and training materials
- Conduct process mapping and assist with risk-based internal control gap analysis for compliance readiness
- Partner cross-functionally with Finance, Legal, Operations, Programs, and Grants to ensure alignment
- Provide support for procurement operations including vendor issues, sourcing requests, and urgent escalations
Requirements
- Experience in procurement, purchasing, supply chain, or related operational function
- Familiarity with ERP systems such as Workday or similar Procure-to-Pay platforms
- Understanding of procurement workflows, vendor management, and contract processes
- Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
- Strong attention to detail with ability to support documentation and compliance needs
Qualifications
- Competitive contract compensation of $36–$38/hour
- Full onsite role in downtown Chicago with strong team collaboration

- Exposure to enterprise procurement strategy and process design work
- High-visibility role working directly with Finance, Legal, and Operations leaders

Benefits
- $36–$38/hour on a contract basis
