About The Role
As the Procurement Manager at Volta, you will own the sourcing and purchasing strategy for the hardware, materials, and services that power our infrastructure build-out. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, and Finance to negotiate contracts, manage vendor relationships, and ensure on-time delivery. This is a highly visible role for someone who wants to drive cost savings and reliability across Volta's supply chain.
Responsibilities
- Own sourcing and purchasing for hardware, materials, and services critical to Volta’s infrastructure
- Negotiate contracts and pricing with suppliers and vendors to drive cost savings
- Manage supplier relationships and monitor performance against contractual commitments
- Partner with Engineering and Supply Chain to forecast demand and plan procurement timelines
- Identify and qualify new suppliers to diversify and strengthen the supply base
- Track purchase orders and manage procurement systems and records
- Ensure compliance with procurement policies and contract terms
- Identify risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation plans
What You Bring
- 5+ years of experience in a business development, sales development, or similar outbound-focused role
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders
- Comfortable with high-volume outreach and a resilient, coachable approach to rejection
- Experience with CRM and sales engagement tools (e.g., Salesforce, Outreach, Salesloft)
- Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a structured pipeline independently
- Curiosity about AI infrastructure, data centers, or enterprise technology sales
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
