About the role

The Procurement Function consists of approximately 19 colleagues across the UK, US, and Denmark, encompassing three sub-teams: Sourcing, Contracts & Governance, and Special Projects. The Procurement Manager will sit within the Sourcing sub-team, reporting directly to the US Sr. Procurement Manager, and working alongside 8 other Procurement Managers and Procurement Officers.

The Procurement Manager is responsible for sourcing goods and services, negotiating contracts, managing supplier performance, and ensuring cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality, compliance, and operational efficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with business and functional objectives.
  • Lead multiple, simultaneous sourcing activities, including but not limited to RFIs, RFPs, benchmarking activities, contract renewals, and direct supplier negotiations:
    • Facilitate and project manage the end-to-end process from project initiation to supplier mobilization.
    • Work with stakeholders to identify and define requirements.
    • Review the market to identify potential suppliers and solutions.
    • Negotiate commercial terms with suppliers.
    • Work closely with Contract Managers to support legal negotiations.
    • Support the Procurement Governance Manager in the due diligence and supplier vetting process.
    • Obtain sign-off and approvals from senior stakeholders.
    • Support stakeholders to mobilize contracts and suppliers effectively.
  • Provide support to business stakeholders during supplier management activities, actively contributing to supplier performance reviews and quarterly business review meetings.
  • Act as the point of escalation for contractual and supplier performance issues.
  • Provide sound commercial advice to stakeholders on all procurement matters.
  • Develop strong and credible relationships with stakeholders across multiple functions, including IT, Operations, Facilities, Property, Finance, Human Resources, and Marketing.
  • Ensure stakeholders are aware of and adhere to Procurement policies and standards.
  • Identify areas of opportunity—such as cost reduction, service improvement, and risk mitigation—and work with stakeholders to develop delivery plans.
  • Support the development of the Procurement team's strategy and plan.
  • Actively contribute to meeting all Procurement KPIs, including financial savings, contract compliance, and sourcing compliance.
  • Manage indirect and direct spend, including capital expenditure from time to time.

Qualifications & Skills

  • 5+ years in a procurement role with experience leading sourcing/RFP processes, including complex negotiations, generating cost savings, and delivering commercial impact.

Pay

$100–125k

Schedule

  • Permanent, full-time role.
  • 2–3 days a week at the Manhattan office.
  • Requirement for international travel in Europe 3–4 times a year.
