Responsibilities
- Lead, coach, and manage a team of procurement buyers consisting of one full-time employee and four contractors.
- Establish clear performance expectations, workload prioritization, and operational accountability across the team.
- Monitor procurement queues and purchasing activity to ensure timely execution of purchase requisitions, purchase orders, supplier onboarding activities, and contract routing.
- Drive consistency in procurement processes, documentation standards, and stakeholder communications.
- Support sourcing, quote collection, supplier negotiations, and purchasing execution across a broad range of indirect spend categories.
- Ensure adherence to procurement policies, approval workflows, and delegated authority requirements.
- Partner with business stakeholders to facilitate efficient procurement intake and resolve purchasing bottlenecks.
- Participate in the development and enhancement of ERP and Contract Life Cycle Management Systems (Oracle Cloud Fusion and Agiloft).
Qualifications
- Educational Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Management, or a related field or 10+ years of equivalent experience.
- Required Work Experience: 5-7+ Years of experience in a strategic or operational procurement, sourcing, or category management roles.
- Experience: Developing standards, policies, and standard work; leading a team; developing procurement reporting, SLA management, and operational dashboards; developing RFPs, RFQs, and RFIs; strong financial acumen; supplier relationship management experience; experience developing basic cost models and vendor benchmarking initiatives; exceptional strategy development skills; experience negotiating multi-year professional service contracts; strong analytical, problem-solving, and project management skills; exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities; proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment; high level of discretion and ability to handle confidential information; demonstrated experience leading or influencing enterprise process improvements.
- Preferred Experience: Experience working in Energy (Renewable Energy, Independent Power Producer, Utility, and/or Oil & Gas); experience with Oracle Cloud Fusion and Agiloft Contract Life Cycle Management; prior experience in a startup environment; CIPS, CPSM, or ISM certification; prior experience influencing budgets.
Pay
The expected starting pay range for this role is $103,000 - $138,000 USD. This range is an estimate and base pay may be above or below the ranges based on several factors including but not limited to location, work experience, certifications, and education. In addition to base pay, Pattern’s compensation program includes a bonus structure for full-time employees of all levels.
