About the Role

The Procurement Manager provides enterprise-wide leadership and drives procurement excellence, supplier performance, cost optimization, and cross-functional alignment across operations, maintenance, engineering, and finance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement activities across multiple company locations, ensuring effective execution of purchasing strategies and processes.
  • Develop and maintain strategic supplier relationships that support cost, quality, delivery, and business continuity objectives.
  • Oversee the full purchase order lifecycle, including requisitions, sourcing, order placement, expediting, and closeout activities.
  • Manage, coach, and develop procurement team members while building organizational procurement capabilities and best practices.
  • Ensure compliance with procurement policies, procedures, contracts, and company guidelines.
  • Support sourcing initiatives through supplier evaluations, bid processes, contract negotiations, and category management activities.
  • Partner with inventory management and operations teams to optimize inventory strategies, supplier performance, and total cost of ownership.
  • Drive continuous improvement through KPI management, process optimization, ERP system utilization, and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in supply chain, procurement, contract management, and supplier negotiations.
  • 3+ years of people leadership experience with demonstrated performance management responsibilities.
  • Experience working with purchasing, inventory management, accounts payable, or ERP systems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to translate strategic objectives into actionable operational plans and measurable results.
  • Working knowledge of procurement best practices, inventory management principles, and supplier relationship management.
  • Experience developing, monitoring, and reporting key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Knowledge of procurement policies, contract review processes, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience developing department procedures, driving process improvements, and leading cross-functional initiatives.
  • High emotional intelligence with the ability to manage competing priorities and navigate complex business relationships.
