About the role

This position is critical to the success of iNRCORE Group and will be responsible for leading the organization’s procurement strategy, driving cost-effective purchasing, supplier relationship management, contract negotiations, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The Procurement Manager oversees the purchasing of materials, optimizes costs, negotiates favorable terms with suppliers, and ensures financial efficiency while mitigating risk and maintaining high quality standards. This role reports directly to the Director of Procurement and is based at our Dyco Electronics facility in Hornell, NY.

Responsibilities

  • Develop sound, cost-effective strategies for purchasing materials used in the business.
  • Maintain relationships with suppliers while continually scouting for additional vendors.
  • Evaluate spending operations to improve and enhance the quality of products purchased and the timeliness of deliveries.
  • Communicate regularly with management regarding the efficient flow of goods and services affecting production.
  • Conduct cost analyses and set benchmarks for improvement.
  • Develop risk management procedures to mitigate losses in the event of product shortages.
  • Supervise a purchasing team and delegate tasks across departments as necessary.
  • Work closely with the company legal department to ensure contracts and terms are favorable.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Five or more years of job-related experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in procurement management, supply chain management, or a related business field.
  • Outstanding management skills.
  • Knowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques, as well as market awareness.
  • Superior negotiation and networking skills.
  • Good knowledge of supplier or third-party management software.
  • Aptitude in decision-making and working with numbers.
  • Experience in collecting and analyzing data.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong working knowledge of industry regulations and legal guidelines.
