Procurement Manager
About the role
A Procurement Manager strategically acquires goods and services to optimize costs, mitigate supply chain risks, and maintain operational efficiency. They oversee sourcing strategies, negotiate contracts, and manage supplier relationships while aligning purchasing decisions with the organization's overarching business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop sourcing strategies to minimize corporate spend and optimize total cost of ownership.
- Execute supplier contracts, payment terms, service level agreements (SLAs), and/or master supply agreements (MSAs) with core vendors.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through spend analysis, volume bundling, and market benchmarking.
- Audit suppliers to ensure compliance with quality standards and delivery timelines.
- Track supplier performance metrics using Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to handle disputes or service issues.
- Ensure supplier alignment for components across the spectrum of project requirements and identify any potential conflicts or opportunities.
- Own the purchasing life cycle, from cutting POs for solar projects to supervising the purchasing team, auditing team member POs through the internal approval process, and providing daily direction on purchase orders (POs) and transactional requests.
- Streamline procurement processes by leveraging ERP systems, automated workflows, and digital documentation.
- Maintain full compliance with corporate policies, legal regulations, and ethical sourcing practices.
- Collaborate with Finance and Legal departments to mitigate contract liabilities.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field.
- 3 to 5+ years of experience in procurement, sourcing, or purchasing, with end-to-end PO lifecycles and proven track record of strategic cost savings.
- Previous leadership experience managing a small team of buyers or coordinators is preferred.

- Advanced data analysis skills, particularly with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, or similar reporting software.
- Proficiency in ERP and procurement software.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively collaborate with internal parties and external vendors.

Benefits
The anticipated starting pay range of this position, which is to be located in Cleveland, OH, is $100,000 - $125,000 base salary per year. The above-listed salary range is required by the Cleveland Pay Transparency Act and may differ depending on the location of those candidates hired nationwide. The salary range shared in the job description is for the listed position and only pertains to the candidate if they work in Cleveland, OH. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to internal pay equity, skill set, education, licenses and certifications, geographic location, essential job duties and requirements, and the necessary experience relative to the job's minimum qualifications.

Schedule
Flexibility to work remotely or hybrid schedule, with occasional travel up to 20% as needed.
Qualifications
- Stationary Position: frequently remains stationary up to 90% of the time and sitting up to 8 hours in a day.
- Move/Traverse: infrequently bend, stand, stoop and/or walk.
- Carry Weight: infrequently carry weight and/or lift objects (light to heavy) weighing up to 10 pounds.
- Hearing and Speech: frequently communicates with the ability to hear and talk on a regular basis with employees, coworkers, and all personnel matters; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
- Sight: frequent use of sight to detect images on computer, office documents, and office objects near and far.
- Climb: occasionally ascends/descends on stairway to get to office upper and lower floors.
- Travel: up to 20% as needed.
