About the role

The Procurement Coordinator will support the University of South Carolina's procurement processes and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Supports the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
  • Manages the evaluation and selection of vendors
  • Prepares and negotiates purchase orders
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional procurement regulations
  • Monitors contract performance and administers contract modifications
  • Assists with the management of supplier relationships

Requirements

  • Experience in USC and/or state procurement policies
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
  • Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or related field

Skills

  • Knowledge of federal and state procurement laws and regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with procurement software and systems

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is $48,207 per year.

Schedule

Standard working schedule: 8:30am – 5:00pm. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
