About the role
The Procurement Coordinator will support the University of South Carolina's procurement processes and policies.
Responsibilities
- Supports the development and implementation of procurement policies and procedures
- Manages the evaluation and selection of vendors
- Prepares and negotiates purchase orders
- Ensures compliance with federal, state, and institutional procurement regulations
- Monitors contract performance and administers contract modifications
- Assists with the management of supplier relationships
Requirements
- Experience in USC and/or state procurement policies
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in procurement or related field
Skills
- Knowledge of federal and state procurement laws and regulations
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving skills
- Experience with procurement software and systems

Pay
The starting salary range for this position is $48,207 per year.
Schedule
Standard working schedule: 8:30am – 5:00pm. Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to meet the needs of the department.
