The Procurement Coordinator manages purchasing activities by serving as a liaison between the corporate procurement team, internal departments, and vendors. This role coordinates purchase orders, approvals, vendor onboarding, delivery tracking, and procurement inquiries to maintain efficient purchasing operations and support supply chain effectiveness.

Responsibilities

  • Review and process purchase requisitions accurately within established timelines.
  • Coordinate purchase order workflows across departments and business entities.
  • Serve as the primary contact for internal departments, vendors, and receiving teams.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and address delays with appropriate stakeholders.
  • Coordinate vendor onboarding and ensure required documentation is completed and approved.
  • Resolve invoice, pricing, and delivery issues through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support RFQ and RFP processes by coordinating requests and compiling vendor responses.
  • Maintain procurement spend reports by department and business entity.
  • Track contract renewal dates and notify stakeholders in advance.
  • Coordinate logistics scheduling with vendors and third-party providers.
  • Address complex procurement inquiries from internal teams.
  • Assist with budget tracking and ensure compliance with purchasing policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.
  • 4–6 years of procurement or purchasing experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Experience with ERP or procurement systems such as Business Central is advantageous.
  • Strong coordination, follow-up, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to analyze spend data and prepare basic reports.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to consistently and accurately follow procurement processes.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment while maintaining responsiveness.

Qualifications

  • Experience mentoring junior staff.
  • Experience managing vendor logistics and delivery scheduling.
  • Background in cannabis or other regulated, multi-state industries.

Pay

Annual compensation range: $70,000–$80,000, depending on experience.
