Procurement Buyer II
About the role
As a Procurement Buyer II here at Honeywell, you will drive procurement activities, ensuring efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and strategic alignment. Oversee purchasing processes and collaborate to achieve objectives. You will be part of a Spares team within the ISC Purchasing function that will own and manage complex requirements to ensure innovative, cost-effective means to improve supplier relationships, drive delivery fidelity, production control output and continuous improvements working with Suppliers, Purchasing, Planning, Operations, Engineering, Sourcing and Manufacturing to ensure quarterly revenue/margin and customer delivery targets are achieved. Responsible for driving in parts, taking into account for price, quality and delivery to ensure continuity of Spares supply meets customer demand. Will be responsible for achieving revenue/margin targets for a specific operational center/project/program/regional/business; and hold a broader presence of cross-functional project management with defined actions, owners, timelines, production schedules to drive results.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the quarterly Spares revenue target(s) are achieved for an Operation Center, Global region and/or for a specific customer program
- Coinciding with Purchasing, Planning and global Honeywell manufacturing plants to identify and adequately develop resolution to improve Build of Material (BOM) part shortages required to complete the end assembly part
- Directly interact with your internal stakeholders and with external suppliers to compress lead-time to improve part shortages with daily cadence with stakeholders identifying clear issues, actions, owners and timing and report daily progress to Director and above
- Leadership. Must be comfortable to quickly escalate with cross-functional Leadership to: identify risk, problem solve, remove barriers, drive accountability and formally present and drive the supplier recovery plan/milestones/commitments to stakeholders
- Review MPS plans in between execution and planning window to identify shortages for parts with the factory operations in providing direction that ensures product is coordinated, monitored and completes the production cycle according to schedule
- Drive a daily cadence with clear issues, actions, owners, and timing (cross functional reviews required), and develop recovery plans
- May include purchasing goods, materials and services to ensure company revenue/margin requirements are achieved
- Identify opportunities and develop business justification to support internal allocations of finished goods needed to ensure revenue targets are met
- Ensure parts are loaded into the Command Center and attend the war room/sunrise review meetings for updates and escalations
- Engage with Focus Supplier Recover (FSR) and Rate Readiness (RR) leaders to help drive part material shortages for both short & long-term developing systematic support and recovery MO
Qualifications
- MUST HAVE Proven track record of successfully managing complex tasks in areas of: program management, project management, customer service, supply chain, operations, procurement or planning
- Strong knowledge of supply chain processes, including procurement, planning, logistics, and inventory management
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies, with a focus on delivering complex projects on time and within budget
- Experience with data analysis and performance metrics to drive project success
