Located in Stratford, Wisconsin, we're seeking a Buyer to join our procurement team.

About the role

We honor the retirement of a valued team member who dedicated 21 years to JBT Marel. The role involves managing purchase orders, supplier development, and negotiating prices to ensure timely installations across the US. Key responsibilities include purchase order management, supplier development, and maintaining systems for tracking deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Purchase order management
• Supplier development and negotiation
• Ensuring cost control and quality compliance
• Updating ERP system (JD Edwards)
• Vendor onboarding and part number creation/maintenance
• Planning parameter maintenance for serviced suppliers and replenishment locations

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a Buyer/Procurement role
• Strong understanding of MRP/ERP systems
• Proven negotiation and vendor management skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Experience with MRP/ERP systems
