Procurement Buyer

Start: immediately in Pleasant Prairie, WI / United States. Permanent, full-time position.

About the role

As a member of our Procurement team and larger Supply Chain team, the Procurement Buyer recommends and develops strategic purchasing strategies for their assigned area or category. This role involves sourcing and purchasing for both Indirect and Direct procurement. Indirect procurement includes services, office equipment, software, and supplies, while Direct procurement covers raw materials used for manufacturing such as ingredients, packaging materials, and manufacturing equipment. The Procurement Buyer will be based on-site at the HARIBO factory offices in Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, with occasional visits to our corporate office in Rosemont, Illinois.

The ideal candidate will have experience in both Indirect and Direct procurement, preferably within the food, pharma, or consumer goods industry.

Responsibilities

• Manage the entire contract lifecycle for procurement and purchasing for assigned area, including drafting agreements, reviewing, negotiating terms and prices, and approving and executing the final signed contract.
• Oversee end-to-end strategic sourcing process for both Indirect procurement (services, office equipment, software, etc.) and Direct procurement (raw materials including ingredients, packaging materials, and manufacturing equipment).

Requirements

• Experience in both Indirect and Direct procurement, preferably working directly for a manufacturer.
• Ideal industry experience includes food, pharma, or consumer goods.
