Procurement Assistant II (2524)
Responsibilities
- Provide mid-level procurement assistance.
- Perform tasks which require knowledge and experience in procurement procedures and rules, such as: creating and maintaining procurement files, generating procurement documents, utilizing procurement systems, data entry and reporting.
- Support includes the possibility of providing surge support to other branches in areas like simplified acquisitions and grants.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- 4 years of related federal government contracts experience required.
- Ability to pass a Public Trust background check.
- Experience with NASA procurement systems and financial systems are highly desired.
Skills
- Mid-level knowledge of federal government contracting principles, policies, and procedures.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Comfortable working with files on a SharePoint Site.
- Proficient and confident working with Word, Excel, and/or PowerPoint for document preparation.
- Proficient and confident in learning and with working within IT systems and tools (some PC based; some NASA system based).
- Proactive in resolving any computer/systems/tools issues which are dependencies for completing work assignments.
- Familiarity with the most commonly used systems/tools include Service Now (SNOW), Scoped App Solutions, System for Award Management (SAM), Federal Procurement Data System (FPDS), SAP Core Financial, Procurement for Public Sector (PPS), SBIR/STTR Electronic Handbook (EHB), and the SBIR/STTR Service Delivery Guide (SDG).
- Actual experience working within a virtual team via telework.
