Procurement Analyst

About the role

The Ash Group is hiring a Procurement Analyst for a global leader in defense, aerospace, and security. This is a 12‑month contract position located in Falls Church, VA (Hybrid). US Citizens only; no C2C or third‑party arrangements. The role offers a pay rate up to $40/hr W2 based on skill set.

Responsibilities

• Review purchase requisitions for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with procurement policies and procedures.
• Create, process, and manage Purchase Orders (POs) within the company’s procurement system.
• Assist in supplier negotiations to secure competitive pricing, favorable terms, and quality service.
• Confirm and document supplier payment terms and ensure alignment with internal financial policies.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including Finance, Operations, and functional teams, to clarify requirements and resolve procurement‑related inquiries.
• Support invoice and payment resolution by addressing discrepancies, communicating with suppliers, and coordinating with Accounts Payable.
• Maintain supplier records, contracts, and data to ensure accuracy and accessibility.
• Conduct basic spend analysis to identify cost‑saving opportunities and trends.
• Help monitor supplier performance and escalate issues when needed.
• Support onboarding of new suppliers and ensure required documentation is completed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a US Citizen.
• 2+ years of prior experience purchasing IT products and professional services.

Skills

• Knowledge of procurement platforms such as Coupa, Ivalua, and Costpoint is a plus.
