Description
Prescient Edge is seeking a Procurement Analyst to support a federal government client.
Responsibilities
- Track expenditures, manage procurement cycles, and ensure compliance with DoD acquisition regulations, including DFARS and FAR.
- Perform market research to identify cost-effective procurement strategies and recommend optimizations for supply chain efficiency.
- Submit the Procurement Compliance & Cost Efficiency Review, analyzing expenditure trends, contract execution, and budget adherence.
- Administer chargeback arrangements—subject to approval by the Government PM and COR—either within this Work Order or through the provisioning Work Order, based on the designated funding strategy and contract alignment.
- Document all chargeback activities in the centralized license and services ledger to support program-wide visibility and audit readiness.
- Career development opportunities, including on-the-job training, tuition reimbursement, and networking.
- Support budgeting, documentation, and usage monitoring for all chargeback arrangements.
Requirements
- Possess the knowledge and capability to track expenditures, manage procurement cycles, and ensure contract compliance with DoD acquisition policies.
- Personnel must be proficient in data analysis, cost forecasting, and procurement workflow optimization.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills are required.
- Demonstrated expertise in the DFARS and FAR processes for procurement, managing purchase orders, tracking procurement performance metrics, and ensuring budget alignment with operational requirements.
- Experience with acquisition software, federal procurement databases, and financial tracking tools to support compliance with DoD acquisition regulations.
- Experience in cost estimation, contract analysis, and procurement audits is required.
Qualifications
- A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field, or four (4) years of equivalent experience in procurement analysis.
- Desirable but not required certifications include Certified Professional Contracts Manager (CPCM) or DoD Financial Management Certification.
