Procurement Analyst

About the role

The Ohio Public Employees Retirement System (OPERS) is seeking an experienced Procurement Analyst to support procurement and vendor management activities.

Responsibilities

• Supports procurement and vendor management activities ensuring compliance with OPERS Procurement and Vendor Management policies.
• Works closely with vendors, internal stakeholders, and Legal for contract administration and vendor oversight activities.
• Exercises independent judgment in procurement decisions to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant service delivery.

Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree and 5 years of experience in a purchasing environment, or a total of 9 years of experience in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (MS Outlook, Word, Excel, etc.).
• Experience maintaining vendor records and facilitating vendor onboarding and due diligence processes, including documentation review and risk classification support.
• Experience implementing process improvements to enhance efficiency, compliance and service delivery.
• Experience in the public sector, government, or regulated environment is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Must be able to pass a background check.

Pay

The starting salary range for this position is between $69,763.20-$87,172.80.

Schedule

This role is currently available as a hybrid position, allowing up to 3 days of remote work per week.
