Procurement Agent - Millennium Space Systems

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that align with company goals and objectives
• Partner with engineers and other internal stakeholders to ensure source selection and procurements meet program requirements (schedule, cost, and quality)
• Serve as the primary point of contact for day-to-day issues, questions, and status inquiries
• Support the development and implementation of new changes/goals
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Material Planning and Supplier/Compliance Operations, to support overall supply chain efficiency
• Responsible for analyzing and understanding team performance metrics (KPIs), identifying areas for improvement, and implementing tactical solutions that drive measurable gains in procurement efficiency, cost savings, supplier performance, and on-time delivery
• Guide and motivate team members
• Think strategically and develop long-term plans that align with supply chain goals
• Interpret data, identify patterns, and make informed decisions
• Identify root causes, develop creative solutions, and implement effective resolutions within the team
• Manage the procurement process by placing orders and ensuring timely and accurate order fulfillment
• Oversee FAR/DFARS compliance and ensure team adherence to internal processes in alignment with DCAA audit requirements and AS9100 standards
• Maintain audit readiness and support continuous improvement to meet regulatory and quality expectations
• Communicate with team members, suppliers, and other stakeholders
• Adapt to challenges and obstacles to achieve objectives
• Create and implement processes and strategies such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), Blanket Purchase Orders, Long-Term Agreements, and future forecasting
• Develop and maintain positive relationships with internal and external suppliers to facilitate collaboration and performance
• Assist understanding reoccurring issues with Shipping & Receiving, and Inventory management as necessary
• Host and/or lead technical calls with suppliers and engineers to resolve issues and drive innovation

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7 years' experience in procurement
• Ability to obtain a US Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship
• Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite
• Familiarity with FAR/DFARS and relevant procurement regulations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with a minimum of 4 years' of relevant experience in Procurement, Business Management, Accounting, Finance, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
• Experience as an Aerospace Buyer or Subcontracts Administration
• APICS/ASCM Certification
• Knowledge of industry regulations and compliance requirements
• Active Security Clearance
• SAP/SAR Comfortable briefing all levels of leadership
• Conflict Of Interest

Pay

The specific programs and options available to any given employee may vary depending on eligibility factors such as geographic location, date of hire, and the applicability of collective bargaining agreements. Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations. Summary pay range: Level 4: $118,150 - $173,750
