Purpose of Role
Responsible for processing Reverse mortgage loans, and acting as the liaison between clients and Loan Officers through the closing process. Also responsible for helping eligible applicants obtain loans in a timely and professional manner while adhering to all company guidelines, as well as federal and state regulations.
Expectations
- Ensures the accurate input of information into the LOS and update information throughout the process as necessary and required
- Confirms that all rates and fees input into the system are accurate and comply with the requirements of federal/ state and Company guidelines
- Serves as liaison and point of contact to guide clients & Loan Officers through processing of the loan in preparation for closing
- Reviews all underwriting conditions required from the borrower that have been submitted within 24-48 hrs
- Collects all required documentation for closing of loan (title insurance policies, hazard, etc.)
- Ensures system in Loan Origination System is accurate and corresponds to document data
- Ensures all fees are updated and documented for the preparation of both the Initial Disclosures and Final Loan Documents
- Ensures that all Change of Circumstances are properly documented and disclosed within the required timeframe
- Reviews and ensures that all prior to closing conditions and documents are prepared, signed off and in file
- Acts as main point of contact for sales, underwriting, funding, title company, broker and or client and settlement agent (if required)
- Maintains clear, consistent and professional lines of communication between all parties involved in process and escalates issues as required to Management in a timely manner to ensure effective resolution
- Ensures that pipeline is reviewed and updated regularly with emphasis on critical dates and expiration and carefully applies all required procedures to pipeline loans being cancelled or denied
- Ensures loan packages comply with Company policies and procedures as well as investor policies and procedures
- Maintains acceptable levels of conversion (active and closed loans) ratios pursuant to position
- Processes and maintains a pipeline of 50 loans
- Communicates clearly and precisely with loan officers, borrowers, underwriters and funders to facilitate and ensure smooth closing process
- Attends and participates in regular and ad hoc departmental meetings
- Remains current on all company requirements and federal and state regulations to ensure compliance
- Ensures compliance with federal state, investor and company policies and procedures
- Exhibits observable sense of urgency in the execution of all job functions and duties
- Mets or exceeds levels of Customer Service delivery established by the Company
- Mets all productivity standards as set by the Company
- Performs other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications – Experience/Skills/Competencies
- Minimum of 2 years experience with Loan Processing
- Prior experience working with automated Loan Origination Systems and in the mortgage industry
- Excellent customer service skills
- Able to adapt to change quickly
- Strong interpersonal skills and must be a team player
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentation
- Analytical end-to-end thinking and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and detail oriented
- Multi-tasking and prioritization skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints
Compensation
- The base salary range for this position ($56,388 - $74,880) is inclusive of all geographical differences in the labor market.
- The base salary for the position will be determined based on factors such as the candidate’s work location, skills, education, and experience.
