Processor

Responsibilities

• Processes manual and link requests, aliquots samples, sorts and prepares samples for pick up by laboratory staff or delivers samples to the appropriate laboratory for assay set up.
• Accurately enter data into the computer system manually or electronically.

Requirements

• Must be able to perform and follow all processing procedures related to pre-analytical processes.
• Identifies problems with specimen types, missing information etc. and assigns the appropriate TIQ, and in some cases resolves them.
• Demonstrates an understanding of the compliance policies related to test ordering, which requires developing ability to research test ordering information on translation tables, computer system, and the directory of services.
• Maintains standards for production and accuracy within 6 months.
• Understands the complex relationship between test(s) ordered and specimen received.
• Completes all required written documentation, legibly and within the assigned timeframe.
• Reports to work on time, and follows attendance guidelines.
• Learns additional functions within Specimen Processing to allow timely progression to the next level.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.

Pay and Schedule

• Pay range: $18.00 - $23.69 / hour
• Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, certifications obtained. Market and organizational factors are also considered.
• Successful candidates may be eligible to receive annual performance bonus compensation.
