Processing Operator (Night Shift) - Ames, IA

About the Role

Processing Operators are primarily responsible for operating one processing line according to Barilla specifications. The operator handles automated mixing, die selection/installation, extrusion, cutting, and drying.

Responsibilities

• Operate automated mixing equipment
• Select and install dies
• Manage extrusion processes
• Perform cutting operations
• Oversee drying of pasta products

Requirements

• Previous work experience in production or food manufacturing
• General working knowledge of computers
• Knowledge of manufacturing processes and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs) – preferred
• Familiarity with food safety, HACCP, and related programs (e.g., cleaning, sanitation, pest management) – a plus

Pay

$27.83 per hour (includes 10% shift differential) for the night shift.

Schedule

Flexible (2‑2‑3) shift pattern, working half the days in a month. Must be available to work every other weekend as part of the regular schedule.
