Processing Laborer

Livestock Nutrition Center specializes in blending customized rations, supplements, and premixes to meet the specific nutritional needs of livestock producers. Our experienced sales staff and nutritionists work directly with producers to design feeding programs tailored to their unique operations, management practices, and performance objectives.

Responsibilities

• Keep the mill clean, including surrounding grounds.
• Complete daily, weekly, and monthly preventative maintenance tasks.
• Assist in repair and maintenance projects with maintenance staff and contractors; fulfill Project Manager requests.
• Record production data and maintain accurate documentation (batch records, machine logs, downtime reports).
• Assist in maximizing mill and crew efficiency.
• Safely and efficiently operate equipment following proper training.
• Follow company safety practices and OSHA standards.
• Recognize potential hazards when assembling/disassembling Processing Barn Equipment, including densifiers and heat exchangers.
• Send batches to correct surge tanks to ensure proper routing to densifiers.
• Direct final product into the proper bay in the Finished Product Barn.
• Perform basic housekeeping duties: toolroom organization, break room cleanliness, and maintaining a hazard-minimized Processing Barn.
• Perform other operational tasks as assigned by local management.

Requirements

• Ability to walk and stand for 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to repetitively lift 50 lbs.
• Forklift, Skid Steer, or Front End Loader experience preferred.
• Ability to work in varying weather and environmental conditions (dust, extreme heat or cold).
• Commitment to maintaining a safe working environment.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team setting.
• Familiarity with FSMA standards related to feed production preferred.
