Key Responsibilities
- Uphold and maintain the Company’s vision, mission, and core values.
- Follow all Company policies, processes, and procedures in accordance with Department Manuals, Employee Manuals, and Safety Manuals.
- Assist as a primary source for the day-to-day needs of 101 Plant Processing, including: Crushing, Baling, Cleaning, De-Packaging Finished Goods, Recycling, and more.
- Operate forklifts to load, unload, and transport materials within the warehouse and production facility.
- Ensure proper stacking and storage of materials to prevent damage, optimize space, and maintain organization of goods according to Company processes.
- Clear production area by securing and moving finished pallets; moving empty pallets.
- Learn and become efficient on various types of Company equipment and operating machinery.
- Avoidance of foot traffic and don all required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform routine maintenance checks on forklifts and troubleshoot or report any malfunctions or needed repairs.
- Pick and prepare orders for shipment according to company standards and customer requirements.
- Inspect incoming and outgoing shipments for accuracy and condition, reporting any discrepancies or damages.
- Complete and maintain accurate records of all material movements and forklift operations.
- Enter load data into designated Company software.
- “Feed” processing crews to keep them busy and get off the fork truck and help out with processing as needed.
- Collaborate with warehouse/production staff, supervisors, and other departments to ensure smooth operations.
- Suggest improvements in processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and safety.
- Completing other tasks as assigned by team leader/supervisor.
- Attend all Company meetings and trainings as required.
Qualifications
- Forklift Certified with 1–2 years of experience in a production, warehouse, or material handling environment preferred.
- Ability to get forklift certified within the first couple of weeks, required.
- Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with processing, recycling, or feed-handling equipment a plus.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to product quality and safety.
- Able to follow standard operating procedures (cGMPs) and maintain accurate records.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and work in varied conditions (heat, cold, noise, odors).
- Willingness to wear required PPE (steel-toe boots, safety glasses, gloves, etc.).
- Must be able/willing to work in a non-climate-controlled facility.
- Must be able/willing to work around dairy products.
- Must comply with all Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs) and facility hygiene standards.
- Must comply with Jewelry & Hygiene Policy - no jewelry, watches, or visible piercings (including facial or tongue piercings) are permitted inside the production area in accordance with federal food safety regulations (21 CFR 117.10).
