About the Role
As a Process Technology Engineer, you'll be responsible for advancing manufacturing capabilities across Lubrizol's global operations by identifying, developing, and implementing process technology solutions that support business growth. Working closely with manufacturing, commercial, supply chain, and research and development teams, you'll help bring new products to market, improve operational performance, and ensure consistent, reliable processes that deliver value to our customers and our Additives business.
How You’ll Make An Impact
In this role, you will engage with customers and global teams to understand growth priorities and translate them into actionable process technology strategies. Collaborate with innovation and pilot teams to validate and implement best-in-class process technologies that deliver efficiency and performance improvements. Establish and enforce global technology standards to ensure consistency, alignment, and operational excellence across regions. Lead manufacturing trials to confirm process performance and enable successful localization of production. Direct global initiatives to improve process efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance productivity across operations. Manage critical projects and deliver clear, impactful updates on goals, progress, and results to stakeholders. Foster collaboration across Commercial, Technical, R&D, Supply Chain, and other teams to ensure seamless execution of process technology initiatives. Ensure adherence to Lubrizol’s Health, Safety, Environmental and Security policies.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of experience in the chemical industry.
- Demonstrated ability to lead cross-functional teams and deliver results aligned with business objectives.
- Skilled at driving change by identifying and implementing improvements in people, processes, and technology to enhance efficiency and performance.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration across teams.
- Hightly self-motivated with demonstrated success in managing multiple projects and achieving measurable outcomes.
- Committed to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot complex issues and leverage data to drive informed decisions.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or related field.
- Leverage Lean Six Sigma experience: Green or Black Belt Certification.
- Proficiency in Aspen Plus, Properties, and Exchanger Design and Rating modeling software.
- Experience with advanced process modeling tools, including Computational Fluid Dynamics and related simulation software.
- Advanced data analytics and programming skills (Python or similar), including leveraging AI tools for process optimization.
- Expertise in Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) and Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA).
- Proficiency in OSI Pi and Seeq data historian platforms.
