About the role
This Process Technician II position is essential for maintaining and improving the manufacturing processes at Lyten, focusing on the production of Lyten 3D Graphene materials and the application of coatings. The role involves ensuring that all processes, equipment, and systems are reliable and efficient, while also providing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs.
Responsibilities
- Perform and support the operation of various processes to manufacture Lyten 3D Graphene materials
- Support the application of coatings, including mixing, spraying, curing, and item inspection
- Carry out regular maintenance on mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Troubleshoot issues with machinery and equipment
- Address breakdowns or malfunctions in equipment and machinery promptly
- Maintain records of all maintenance and repair activities
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with safety protocols and regulations
- Manage tools and equipment to keep them in good working condition
- Stay updated with the latest maintenance and repair best practices
- Collaborate with the operations team to schedule maintenance activities at convenient times
- Suggest improvements to enhance the lifespan and efficiency of equipment and machinery
- Coordinate with external contractors and service providers when necessary
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree (unrelated field) OR Associate degree (unrelated field) AND 1+ year of relevant experience in fast growth manufacturing or machining environments, control systems, or a related area
- Military AND 1+ year of relevant experience in fast growth manufacturing or machining environments, data entry, purchasing, with control systems, or a related area
- High School Diploma or equivalent AND 2+ years of relevant experience in fast growth manufacturing or machining environments, data entry, purchasing, with control systems, or a related area
- Equivalent experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems
- Experience in manufacturing or painting operations
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and blueprints
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Basic computer skills for documentation and communication purposes
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work in a laboratory environment
- Ability to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) such as gloves, lab coats, safety glasses, and respirators as required
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time during laboratory experiments and battery assembly
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
Compensation
The expected base salary range for this position is between $31.63 - $47.50 per hour. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include location, relevant prior experience and/or education, or particular skills and expertise.
